Wheels & cello at the Noorderzon Festival

In Wheels & Cello, Le Patin Libre leaves the ice behind and rolls into the Noorderplantsoen, where street performance, contemporary choreography, and pure freedom of movement merge into a playful open-air performance. 

Le Patin Libre, founded by former competitive figure skaters from Montréal, trades blades for wheels, and let themselves be carried along by the sound of a cello. Glitter, scores and competition are far away: they exchange them for playing on the rough concrete. Beneath the trees of the Noorderplantsoen, on Noorderzon's new outdoor stage, their ‘free skates’ take on an extra summery dimension.
